📺 A visual, timely, people-first community story
🌰 The urgency
Many oaks produce collectible acorns in fall. We want viewers to help gather viable seeds now, with permission, before this year's opportunity passes.
♻️ The demonstration
Watch us prepare clean recycled bottles as growing containers, sow seeds, and show live seedlings from our growing operation.
❤️ The human impact
We connect gardeners, homeowners, students, and community participants with hands-on horticultural learning and potential paid work and small-business opportunities.
Three regional stories
Sacramento: Cork oaks, acorns, and wine-industry sponsorship opportunities. San Francisco Bay Area: Strawberry trees already growing in recycled bottles. Santa Barbara: Jacarandas propagated from seeds collected locally, with plans to return seedlings to the community.
What we can bring to a segment
Baby trees, recycled growing bottles, seed and acorn examples, a propagation demonstration, and footage or photos from our growing operation once provided and approved for use. We can discuss community giveaways, seed collection, homeowner profit sharing, and how sponsors can help expand the program.
Proposed partnership: a station-hosted or station-promoted giveaway, with up to 100 baby trees proposed per station depending on inventory and arrangements. We will coordinate the date, location, distribution permissions, and quantity before announcing an event.
Suggested segment title: “The seeds are here. The opportunity is now: California landscaper turns recycled bottles into free baby trees.”
This is a partnership invitation, not a claim of confirmed station participation. Seed availability varies by species. Job and business creation are program goals, not guaranteed outcomes.
